Welcome to the WWE 2K26 Universe Manager. When you first open the app my roster will be sitting in Free Agents waiting to be assigned. Before you start booking matches or PLEs, follow these steps to get set up.
Head to the Tag Teams tab — a set of base tag teams have already been created to get you started. Go through them, keep the ones you want, delete any you don't, and add new ones to suit your Universe.
When you save a tag team and assign it to a brand, both members are automatically moved from Free Agents to that brand in one action — no need to move them individually first.
Superstars acting as managers or valets (such as B-Fab with Street Profits) won't be in the team itself but should be moved to the same brand manually so they're available to book.
Once your tag teams are done, head to the Roster page and use the Free Agents tab. Any superstars not yet assigned will be waiting here. Use the → Raw, → SmackDown and → NXT quick sign buttons on each card to place them on a brand with one click.
Head to the Titles tab and assign your current champions. When you set a champion they are automatically added to that title's division — so your divisions build themselves as you go.
Any remaining contenders can be added manually on the Divisions page by selecting from the dropdown on each title's division card.
With my roster assigned, tag teams set and champions in place, head to the PLE Calendar and start building your first event.
- The Draft is not for initial setup — it's for mid-Universe roster shakeups like the real WWE Draft. Use Quick Transfer or Tag Team creation to assign my roster at the start
- Legends Pool superstars are available for special appearances — sign them to a brand when you want to use them, and they'll return to the pool when you start a fresh Universe
- DLC superstars sit in the DLC tab until you've unlocked them in game — sign them to a brand when ready
The Roster page is where all your superstars live. Use the tabs at the top to switch between brands.
- Raw, SmackDown, NXT — your active brand rosters
- Free Agents — superstars not assigned to a brand. Use the → Raw, → SmackDown and → NXT quick sign buttons on their cards to place them instantly
- Legends Pool — classic superstars for special appearances. Use the quick sign buttons on their cards to place them on a brand instantly
- DLC — DLC superstars sit here until you've unlocked them in game and are ready to place them. Quick sign buttons available here too
- Click Add Superstar
- Enter their name, select their brand and gender
- Click Save
You start with five core brands — Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Legends and DLC. These cannot be removed.
- Go to the Roster page
- Click Manage Brands
- Enter the brand name and click Add
A base set of tag teams are pre-populated and assigned to brands to get you started. Review them, keep the ones you want, delete any you don't and add new ones to suit your Universe.
- Go to the Tag Teams tab
- Click Add Tag Team
- Enter the team name, select the brand, then tick the members
- Click Save
When setting up your Universe from scratch, the majority of my roster starts in Free Agents. Rather than manually moving each superstar to a brand and then creating tag teams afterwards, you can work the other way around.
Take The Usos as an example. In my saves, Jimmy and Jey are always going to be a tag team on Raw. Instead of moving Jimmy to Raw, then moving Jey to Raw, then creating the tag team and assigning it — you simply create The Usos tag team, select Jimmy and Jey as members, and set the brand to Raw. Both of them are automatically pulled from Free Agents and placed on Raw in one action.
This only applies to superstars currently sitting in Free Agents — it won't pull someone from SmackDown or NXT. So you can safely use this during initial setup without worrying about it disrupting an existing playthrough.
The result is a much faster way to build my roster when you already know which tag teams you want — create the team, set the brand, and the members follow automatically.
Championships and Divisions are linked — every title automatically has a division created for it. Managing them together keeps my rosters organised.
A selection of titles are pre-loaded based on the current WWE setup. Add, edit or remove any of them freely.
Custom Women's Tag Title belt designs for Raw, SmackDown and NXT are available to download for free in WWE 2K26. Search #ZFGaming in Community Creations in-game to find and download them — they're built to match the brand-specific title setup in this app.
- Go to Championships and click a title card to set the champion
- Title history is tracked automatically every time a championship changes hands
- Click ✏️ Edit Title to change the name or brand without losing history, position or division
- Single / Tag Team — controls whether individual superstars or tag teams can hold the title. The division dropdown reflects this automatically
- ♂ Men's / ♀ Women's / ⚥ Mixed — filters who appears in the champion dropdown and division. Men's titles only show male superstars/teams, Women's only female
Divisions are created automatically when a championship is added and deleted when a title is removed. They track who is in contention for each title.
- Go to Divisions and find the title you want to manage
- Select a superstar or tag team from the dropdown — they are added instantly
- Click × next to a name to remove them from the division
- Go to Calendar and click Add PLE
- Enter the event name, select the brand(s) and set the date
- Click the PLE card to open the match card and start booking
- Click + Add Match on the match card
- Select the match type — this determines how many participant dropdowns appear
- Select participants and optionally a championship on the line
- Click Add Match to book it
Some match types — like Elimination Chamber, Royal Rumble, Battle Royal and War Games — have too many participants for individual dropdowns. For these, the participant fields are replaced with a free text box where you can type the entries yourself.
The Manual Override field also appears for standard matches if you prefer to type participants directly rather than use the dropdowns — useful for custom match names or unusual entries.
- Any match without a result recorded has an ✏️ Edit button — click it to change participants, type or championship before the match takes place
- Once the PLE has run in game, click Record Result on each match to log the winner — title histories update automatically
- After a result is logged the Edit button is removed — use Edit Result to amend the outcome if needed
The draft lets you redistribute superstars across brands. Here's what each feature does:
- Protect Pool — lock specific superstars out of the draft so they can't be picked
- Complete Draft — finalises the draft, locks in all moves and updates divisions. Only click this when you are fully done drafting — superstars who have changed brand will be removed from their old brand's divisions at this point
- Quick Transfer box — the fastest way to move any superstar or tag team to a brand manually
- Click ⚙️ Draft Setup to configure your draft
- Use ▲▼ arrows to set the brand pick order
- Tick which brands are drafting and which brands to pull from
- Click Confirm Setup — the On The Clock tracker updates to your brands
- When it's a brand's turn, click ⚡ Next Pick — the app auto-selects a random superstar for that brand
- Continue picking round by round until your draft is complete
Tag team members are always excluded from the individual draft pool — they are never picked as individuals. The toggle in Draft Setup controls what happens to them:
- Toggle ON — Draft Tag Teams as Units — tag teams are added to the draft pool as a single unit. When picked, both members move to the new brand together. Only teams with all members on the same brand are eligible.
- Toggle OFF — Tag Teams Sit Out — tag team members are excluded from the pool entirely and will not be drafted. Move them manually via Quick Transfer when you are ready.
- Go to Royal Rumble and select Men's or Women's
- Add entrants from the roster
- Set entry numbers if you want a specific order
- Run the Rumble in game and come back to log the winner
Each briefcase (Men's and Women's) has 8 qualifier slots. Fill them as superstars qualify, then the Holder dropdown only shows those names.
- Go to MITB and fill the 8 qualifier slots with the competing superstars
- Run the match in game, then select the Holder from the qualifier list
- When ready to cash in, click Cash In Briefcase and log the details
Use the Qualifiers page to manually track who earns a spot in any match. Set up qualifier matches, run them in game, then log the winner manually. The app records results but does not auto-populate match entries.
The Stipulations tab is where you track self-imposed story rules and consequences for your Universe. Use it to record ongoing conditions so you don't forget them mid-playthrough.
- "Royal Rumble winner main events WrestleMania for a title shot of their choosing"
- Go to the Stipulations tab
- Click Add Stipulation
- Enter the rule, who it applies to and any relevant notes
- Mark it as Active, Fulfilled or Void as your storyline progresses
Access via the ⚙️ cog in the top right.

Do this regularly, especially before clearing browser data or switching devices..json backup file and your Universe will be restored exactly as you left it. Use this to move your save to a different browser or device too.We recommend exporting at least once per session — it takes seconds and protects everything you've built.
Weekly show planning is something I'm considering for a future version — it's a significant feature that needs careful design to work well. For now the app is focused on PLE booking and roster management. Weekly show results are best managed in game directly.
Rivalry and feud management works well in game and is best handled there. The Stipulations tab and the Notes field on each superstar's profile can be used to track any ongoing storylines you want to record in the app.
An injury list is a future consideration but is not currently on the roadmap. How often injuries impact your Universe Mode depends on your playstyle — use the Notes field on a superstar's profile to flag anyone who is injured or written off TV in the meantime.
Face and Heel alignment is a serious consideration for a future version but is not currently planned. Watch this space.
The Divisions page already serves this purpose. Each title has its own division where you can manage your contenders. Add superstars to a division to track who is next in line for a title shot.
Full faction tracking is on the roadmap. Currently tag teams represent the two competing members for tag title purposes only. Factions like The Bloodline and Judgement Day have more members than just the tag team pairing — full faction creation, management and roster cards are coming in a future update.
- Stop 1 — Win/Loss Tracker
- Stop 2 — Faction Tracker
More features are under consideration and will be announced as development continues and feedback is received.
- ↩ Undo — hit Undo in the top bar to reverse your last action
- 📅 Next Year — advances your Universe to the next year
- Notes field — each superstar has a notes field, use it for storylines or injuries
- Hall of Fame — induct legends and retired superstars via the HOF tab
- Search — the roster search bar works across all brand tabs
