⚠️ The Draft is for mid-Universe roster shakeups — not for initial setup. To assign your roster at the start of a new Universe, use Quick Transfer on the Roster page or create Tag Teams to auto-assign members to brands.

Getting Started — Your First Universe

Welcome to the WWE 2K26 Universe Manager. When you first open the app my roster will be sitting in Free Agents waiting to be assigned. Before you start booking matches or PLEs, follow these steps to get set up.

💾 Auto-saves — your progress saves automatically in this browser on every action. No manual save needed. Use Export in the ⚙️ menu to back up or transfer to another device.
Step 1 — Check your Tag Teams

Head to the Tag Teams tab — a set of base tag teams have already been created to get you started. Go through them, keep the ones you want, delete any you don't, and add new ones to suit your Universe.

When you save a tag team and assign it to a brand, both members are automatically moved from Free Agents to that brand in one action — no need to move them individually first.

💡 Example: Create The Usos, select Jimmy and Jey, set brand to Raw — both are instantly moved to Raw.
⚠️ Important: Tag teams in this app represent the two competing members for tag title purposes — not the full faction. For example, factions like The Bloodline and Judgement Day have more than two members, but only the pairing competing for tag titles is set up as a tag team here. Other faction members are assigned to their brand individually. Full faction tracking is planned for a future update.

Superstars acting as managers or valets (such as B-Fab with Street Profits) won't be in the team itself but should be moved to the same brand manually so they're available to book.

Step 2 — Assign remaining superstars

Once your tag teams are done, head to the Roster page and use the Free Agents tab. Any superstars not yet assigned will be waiting here. Use the → Raw, → SmackDown and → NXT quick sign buttons on each card to place them on a brand with one click.

Step 3 — Set your Title Holders

Head to the Titles tab and assign your current champions. When you set a champion they are automatically added to that title's division — so your divisions build themselves as you go.

Step 4 — Fill out your Divisions

Any remaining contenders can be added manually on the Divisions page by selecting from the dropdown on each title's division card.

Step 5 — You're ready to book

With my roster assigned, tag teams set and champions in place, head to the PLE Calendar and start building your first event.

A few things worth knowing
  • The Draft is not for initial setup — it's for mid-Universe roster shakeups like the real WWE Draft. Use Quick Transfer or Tag Team creation to assign my roster at the start
  • Legends Pool superstars are available for special appearances — sign them to a brand when you want to use them, and they'll return to the pool when you start a fresh Universe
  • DLC superstars sit in the DLC tab until you've unlocked them in game — sign them to a brand when ready
Roster

The Roster page is where all your superstars live. Use the tabs at the top to switch between brands.

Tabs explained
  • Raw, SmackDown, NXT — your active brand rosters
  • Free Agents — superstars not assigned to a brand. Use the → Raw, → SmackDown and → NXT quick sign buttons on their cards to place them instantly
  • Legends Pool — classic superstars for special appearances. Use the quick sign buttons on their cards to place them on a brand instantly
  • DLC — DLC superstars sit here until you've unlocked them in game and are ready to place them. Quick sign buttons available here too
Adding a superstar
  1. Click Add Superstar
  2. Enter their name, select their brand and gender
  3. Click Save
💡 Click any superstar card to edit their details. Use the search bar to quickly find anyone across all tabs.
Brands

You start with five core brands — Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Legends and DLC. These cannot be removed.

Adding a custom brand
  1. Go to the Roster page
  2. Click Manage Brands
  3. Enter the brand name and click Add
⚠️ Custom brands are wiped on Start New Universe — only the core five remain.
Tag Teams

A base set of tag teams are pre-populated and assigned to brands to get you started. Review them, keep the ones you want, delete any you don't and add new ones to suit your Universe.

  1. Go to the Tag Teams tab
  2. Click Add Tag Team
  3. Enter the team name, select the brand, then tick the members
  4. Click Save
💡 Superstars on the Legends and DLC tabs can be added to tag teams and assigned to those tabs — for example 3 Minute Warning sit in the Legends Pool as a tag team. They don't need to be on an active brand to be part of a team.
Tag Team Auto-Assignment

When setting up your Universe from scratch, the majority of my roster starts in Free Agents. Rather than manually moving each superstar to a brand and then creating tag teams afterwards, you can work the other way around.

Take The Usos as an example. In my saves, Jimmy and Jey are always going to be a tag team on Raw. Instead of moving Jimmy to Raw, then moving Jey to Raw, then creating the tag team and assigning it — you simply create The Usos tag team, select Jimmy and Jey as members, and set the brand to Raw. Both of them are automatically pulled from Free Agents and placed on Raw in one action.

This only applies to superstars currently sitting in Free Agents — it won't pull someone from SmackDown or NXT. So you can safely use this during initial setup without worrying about it disrupting an existing playthrough.

The result is a much faster way to build my roster when you already know which tag teams you want — create the team, set the brand, and the members follow automatically.

💡 This then leaves you to create fantasy tag teams based on how my roster has shaped up once the known teams are in place.
Championships & Divisions

Championships and Divisions are linked — every title automatically has a division created for it. Managing them together keeps my rosters organised.

Championships

A selection of titles are pre-loaded based on the current WWE setup. Add, edit or remove any of them freely.

💡 Brand-specific titles: This app is set up so each brand has its own championships — including Women's Tag Titles. Rather than one set of WWE Women's Tag Titles shared across Raw, SmackDown and NXT, each brand has its own version. This mirrors how the brands operate independently and keeps divisions clean. You can of course customise this to suit your own Universe.
🎮
Community Creations — Women's Tag Titles

Custom Women's Tag Title belt designs for Raw, SmackDown and NXT are available to download for free in WWE 2K26. Search #ZFGaming in Community Creations in-game to find and download them — they're built to match the brand-specific title setup in this app.

In-game → Community Creations → Search #ZFGaming
  1. Go to Championships and click a title card to set the champion
  2. Title history is tracked automatically every time a championship changes hands
  3. Click ✏️ Edit Title to change the name or brand without losing history, position or division
Title Type & Gender
  • Single / Tag Team — controls whether individual superstars or tag teams can hold the title. The division dropdown reflects this automatically
  • ♂ Men's / ♀ Women's / ⚥ Mixed — filters who appears in the champion dropdown and division. Men's titles only show male superstars/teams, Women's only female
Divisions

Divisions are created automatically when a championship is added and deleted when a title is removed. They track who is in contention for each title.

  1. Go to Divisions and find the title you want to manage
  2. Select a superstar or tag team from the dropdown — they are added instantly
  3. Click × next to a name to remove them from the division
💡 Once a superstar or tag team is added to any division they are removed from all other division dropdowns — a superstar can only be in one division at a time across all brands. Superstars who are part of a tag team are also excluded from single title division dropdowns, as they compete as a unit rather than individually.
💡 When Complete Draft is clicked, superstars who have moved brand are automatically removed from their old brand's divisions.
PLE Calendar & Match Cards
Creating a PLE
  1. Go to Calendar and click Add PLE
  2. Enter the event name, select the brand(s) and set the date
  3. Click the PLE card to open the match card and start booking
💡 Two-night events like WrestleMania can be set up using the Nights option when creating the PLE.
💡 Multiple PLEs in one month? Use the Week selector when creating or editing a PLE to specify which week of the month it falls in (Week 1–4). New PLEs are automatically inserted in the correct date order.
💡 Custom PLEs & resets: Any PLEs you add yourself will be removed on a Start New Universe reset — the calendar returns to the 26 base PLEs. However when advancing to the next year, custom PLEs carry over and remain on the calendar. All PLEs can be removed manually at any time.
💡 Results are permanent: Once match results are recorded for any PLE they are saved to history permanently — regardless of future calendar changes, resets or universe restarts. If you start a new Universe the calendar resets to the base 26 PLEs but all previously recorded results remain in the Results page forever.
Adding Matches
  1. Click + Add Match on the match card
  2. Select the match type — this determines how many participant dropdowns appear
  3. Select participants and optionally a championship on the line
  4. Click Add Match to book it
Manual Override

Some match types — like Elimination Chamber, Royal Rumble, Battle Royal and War Games — have too many participants for individual dropdowns. For these, the participant fields are replaced with a free text box where you can type the entries yourself.

The Manual Override field also appears for standard matches if you prefer to type participants directly rather than use the dropdowns — useful for custom match names or unusual entries.

Editing & Results
  • Any match without a result recorded has an ✏️ Edit button — click it to change participants, type or championship before the match takes place
  • Once the PLE has run in game, click Record Result on each match to log the winner — title histories update automatically
  • After a result is logged the Edit button is removed — use Edit Result to amend the outcome if needed
Draft

The draft lets you redistribute superstars across brands. Here's what each feature does:

  • Protect Pool — lock specific superstars out of the draft so they can't be picked
  • Complete Draft — finalises the draft, locks in all moves and updates divisions. Only click this when you are fully done drafting — superstars who have changed brand will be removed from their old brand's divisions at this point
  • Quick Transfer box — the fastest way to move any superstar or tag team to a brand manually
Draft Setup & Next Pick
  1. Click ⚙️ Draft Setup to configure your draft
  2. Use ▲▼ arrows to set the brand pick order
  3. Tick which brands are drafting and which brands to pull from
  4. Click Confirm Setup — the On The Clock tracker updates to your brands
  5. When it's a brand's turn, click ⚡ Next Pick — the app auto-selects a random superstar for that brand
  6. Continue picking round by round until your draft is complete
💡 DLC superstars are excluded from the draft pool while they are in the DLC tab — they are not available to draft until you assign them to a brand first. Once on a brand they become draftable like anyone else. Legends can be included in the draft pool by ticking the Legends Pool option in Draft Setup.
Tag Team Draft Toggle

Tag team members are always excluded from the individual draft pool — they are never picked as individuals. The toggle in Draft Setup controls what happens to them:

  • Toggle ON — Draft Tag Teams as Units — tag teams are added to the draft pool as a single unit. When picked, both members move to the new brand together. Only teams with all members on the same brand are eligible.
  • Toggle OFF — Tag Teams Sit Out — tag team members are excluded from the pool entirely and will not be drafted. Move them manually via Quick Transfer when you are ready.
💡 During the Auto Draft, only tag teams with all members currently on the same brand are eligible to be picked as a unit. If a team's members are split across different brands they will not appear in the tag team draft pool.
💡 When a tag team is drafted it moves the two competing members only — not the full faction. If you want to move an entire faction together, use Quick Transfer to move each member individually to the new brand.
💡 When a superstar is drafted to a new brand they are automatically removed from any division they were part of on their previous brand — no manual tidying needed.
Royal Rumble
  1. Go to Royal Rumble and select Men's or Women's
  2. Add entrants from the roster
  3. Set entry numbers if you want a specific order
  4. Run the Rumble in game and come back to log the winner
Money in the Bank

Each briefcase (Men's and Women's) has 8 qualifier slots. Fill them as superstars qualify, then the Holder dropdown only shows those names.

  1. Go to MITB and fill the 8 qualifier slots with the competing superstars
  2. Run the match in game, then select the Holder from the qualifier list
  3. When ready to cash in, click Cash In Briefcase and log the details
Qualifiers

Use the Qualifiers page to manually track who earns a spot in any match. Set up qualifier matches, run them in game, then log the winner manually. The app records results but does not auto-populate match entries.

Stipulations

The Stipulations tab is where you track self-imposed story rules and consequences for your Universe. Use it to record ongoing conditions so you don't forget them mid-playthrough.

Example
  • "Royal Rumble winner main events WrestleMania for a title shot of their choosing"
Adding a stipulation
  1. Go to the Stipulations tab
  2. Click Add Stipulation
  3. Enter the rule, who it applies to and any relevant notes
  4. Mark it as Active, Fulfilled or Void as your storyline progresses
💡 Use Stipulations to keep your Universe feeling consistent and story-driven — especially useful for long-running feuds and consequences from big PLE matches.
Save Management

Access via the ⚙️ cog in the top right.

  • Export Save — downloads your Universe as a JSON file. Use to back up or transfer to another device
  • Import Save — loads a previously exported JSON file. This replaces your current Universe so export first if needed
  • Start New Universe — resets to Year 1. Base tag teams are restored with their brand assignments intact. Legends return to the Legends Pool, DLC superstars return to the DLC tab, and everyone else moves to Free Agents ready to be assigned. Notes are cleared.
⚠️ Start New Universe cannot be undone — export your save first if you want to keep your current playthrough.
⚙️ Cog Menu
  • Patch Notes — full version history of every update
  • Import Save — load a backup file
  • Export Save — download your current save
  • Start New Universe — fresh start keeping your base roster
  • @1ZFGaming — follow on Instagram for updates
Save Management

Your Universe saves automatically in your browser on every action — no manual save needed.

⚠️ Important — back up regularly. Your save lives in your browser's local storage. If you clear your browser cache, history or site data, your save will be lost permanently. This is the most common way saves are lost.
💾 How to back up: Go to the ⚙️ cog menu in the top right and click Export Save. This downloads a .json file to your device — keep it somewhere safe. Do this regularly, especially before clearing browser data or switching devices.
📂 Restoring a save: Go to the ⚙️ cog menu and click Import Save. Select your .json backup file and your Universe will be restored exactly as you left it. Use this to move your save to a different browser or device too.

We recommend exporting at least once per session — it takes seconds and protects everything you've built.

FAQ
Is there a weekly show planner (Raw/SmackDown/NXT)?

Weekly show planning is something I'm considering for a future version — it's a significant feature that needs careful design to work well. For now the app is focused on PLE booking and roster management. Weekly show results are best managed in game directly.

Is there a rivalry or feud tracker?

Rivalry and feud management works well in game and is best handled there. The Stipulations tab and the Notes field on each superstar's profile can be used to track any ongoing storylines you want to record in the app.

Is there an injury list?

An injury list is a future consideration but is not currently on the roadmap. How often injuries impact your Universe Mode depends on your playstyle — use the Notes field on a superstar's profile to flag anyone who is injured or written off TV in the meantime.

Is there a face/heel alignment tracker?

Face and Heel alignment is a serious consideration for a future version but is not currently planned. Watch this space.

Is there a #1 Contender tracker?

The Divisions page already serves this purpose. Each title has its own division where you can manage your contenders. Add superstars to a division to track who is next in line for a title shot.

Is there a faction tracker?

Full faction tracking is on the roadmap. Currently tag teams represent the two competing members for tag title purposes only. Factions like The Bloodline and Judgement Day have more members than just the tag team pairing — full faction creation, management and roster cards are coming in a future update.

What's on the roadmap?
  • Stop 1 — Win/Loss Tracker
  • Stop 2 — Faction Tracker

More features are under consideration and will be announced as development continues and feedback is received.
